Golf

Although The Forest Club is a small, quaint facility nestled in the heart of Memorial, the club is able to offer 27 beautiful holes of golf through a special arrangement with a neighboring club.  The course designers, von Hagge, Smelek, and Baril, are widely considered to be the best golf course designers in Europe and are among the top designers in the world.  Von Hagge set three goals as he laid out the courses:  first, the golf had to be challenging and compelling as befits a private country club atmosphere; second, the courses had to be beautiful with the golf holes and play routed so that visual intrusions from surrounding developments would be buffered by tree and foliage retention on strips of land set aside and designated for that purpose; and third, the golf courses should have an uplifting aesthetic presence for golfers as they play.  

In addition to the beautiful golf courses, there are ample practice facilities to help refine your game.  No matter which nine you start on, you will find a practice putting green.  No excuses for not getting in a short practice session before teeing off.  The driving range is adjacent to the #1 Bunkers tee boxes and features multiple targets and a sand bunker practice area.
